Endometriosis is an agonizing condition for 1 out of 10 women

It is almost as common today as asthma or diabetes, yet it remains a difficult condition for the medical profession to treat.

The most popular class of drugs is a synthetic male hormone that decreases estrogen levels to a point where masculinization is very possible. These side effects are not always reversible!

But, in fact, you don’t have to fool your body with synthetic hormones to treat endometriosis successfully. Once you understand how stress is pushing your hormones out of balance, endometriosis pain can be quickly addressed.

Stress hits you in the hypothalamus—which among other duties, controls the production of your hormones. So stress in women upsets the estrogen and progesterone balance, and triggers excessive output of adrenal hormones.

That’s why endometriosis has been called the working woman’s disease—issues of job security, money worries, overwork, relationship problems, all trigger endometriosis pain and blocks your body’s ability to heal itself.

Now, it’s no good telling a woman not to stress out, but you can put her back in control of her hormonal balance in three simple steps:

1. Help your body to rebalance itself with supplements. Vitamin C and citrus bioflavanoids, used together, regulate estrogen levels and strengthen capillaries so they are less likely to break, causing cramps.

2. Heal your digestive system so that the estrogen build up in your system can correct itself. Because all estrogen is sent to the liver to be degraded it’s important to eat high-fiber foods that are rich in vitamin B. Eat one helping of raw broccoli to flush your system of excess estrogen.

3. Address the stress itself. You don’t have to find an extra hour a day to meditate. In The Women’s Pharmacy I give a one-minute exercise, in which your left hand holds the ball of the right foot. I’ll show you exactly how to locate the pressure point that relieves the stress that is associated with endometriosis—and it takes just 60 seconds!
